shaped up a new 5’6 simmons and a new
5’11 commanche fish for the factory,
they’re finished and they do fly,
rode them both the other day and really loved ‘em…
i’ll be logging some time on these 2 additions
for sure. if you wanna take a stab at them

**just heard through the grapevine that “bushman” is making
mini simmons now and he’s using our fins too,
..very cool.. the man is a legend**
this is a little 5’6 gender bender
for brent on the central coast..
3/4 custom elvis print fabric with a
citrus combo of sprays and bands..
5 plug setup, ride it as a twinnie, thruster,
quad, or with big twin sides
and a stabiliser rear…
the king will shortly be leaving the
apache twin in brittish racing green,
i love this board and i was seriously thinking
about keeping it and making luke another…
yes i would do that.. dont act so surprised.
as much as i love making your boards guys
..i like making my personal boards more.
6’10 barracuda quad

traditional “resin” pin lines by moses
he’s the only guy around that i know of,
still doing traditional resin pin lines.
andrew rang me straight after he picked this one up..
he sounded pretty stoked..
5’9 apache twin - brittish racing green tint.
matching BRG fins and double pinlines
this board was sooo clean i almost
kept it for myself… ive done it before.
double pins and glass on loops keep it old skool
alternate – “super mod” logo to tie it all up.
available at wally’s water gallery.
this one’s a custom order for ted.
ted has been involved in aboriginal rights
for a while and asked me to shape a fish
thatwould reflect his work. so here it is a
5’11 fish in proud koori colours.
red tint keels.
single to double concave. full gloss and polish.
all the usual trimmings.
this ones gonna be hard to miss in the lineup.
so here’s another of the sugarmill boards.
this ones a 5’11 fish based on an old steve lis template
but modernised a whole bunch -
you know i cant leave things alone.
modern rails, single to double concave
and modern rocker liven it up a bit.
those are cedar keels and a full red cedar stringer.
theres nothing prettier than cedar stringers.
see what i mean. hows that colour?
yours to own, see the boys at the mill’..
Last week i was lucky enough to land one of these finely tuned, hand crafted fishes shaped by Jesse Watson of Black Apache Surfboards and boy do they go good… from hollow little tubes to fast down the line walls, this board takes off like a bullet and lets you throw it around like it’s one of your thrusters…
It’s going to be very hard to get off this board!….
All surf shots taken by the very talented surfer/photographer Jughead
check out kerry’s blog and his wicked new video teaser at
by the way thats kerry in the barrel at the top of the black apache title page.
the kid knows how to thread the tube.
kerry’s new board is finished its a 5’6″ apache twin
cream nose dip, black tail dip
black glass on keels, protec finish
this is kerry’s colour scheme that he devised… i like it.
made for tight turns, fast arcs and those
oh so high lines from the top
