hollow wooden mini simmons

April 30, 2012  |  Uncategorized

Hi Jesse, Don’t know if you remember, but…..

About a year ago I flicked you an email saying that

I was going to have a crack at building

a H.W.S. (hollow wooden surfboard) mini sim.

You were kind enough to flick me

through a template of your mini sim deluxe.

Well I’m just about finished the thing. It’s taken

a while but has been so fun getting down the shed

and chipping away a little bit at a time.

**outline looks pretty neat**

I’ve attached some photos of it pre and post sealer coat.

I have started with a tinted lam on the bottom which turned out ok.

I love the colour work that you have done so that inspired me to give a tint a crack.

**foil looks pretty good**

Didn’t end up dark enough but that ok. Still yet to do the top lam and

I’ve hand foiled some fins that I will have to attach.

Still plenty of work to do but I just wanted to send through an

**rails look pretty good**

email and say thanks – I really appreciated your generosity

and the work you do is top notch.

 All the best mate

Marcus

looks pretty damn good to me… i better

watch my back.. i might be out of business soon.
